Shabbos Parshas Toldos

Monday, 27 November, 2006 - 10:09 am

In case you are wondering when the winter will finally begin, you can come to Tremblant to confirm that it has indeed begun. There is not a flake of snow in the village, and the weather quite mild and spring like; however, a few runs are in full service on the north side of the mountain, thanks to the creation of fluffy fake snow.  Guests visiting during the American Thanksgiving vacation were not disappointed when they arrived in Tremblant, and were treated to the first day of skiing on Friday November 24th.   Many cancelled their trip up, due to lack of snow, but the resort came through with their word and there was plenty of skiing for all.

We were then treated to a warm Shabbos day together at Chabad.  Our guests came from parts of New Jersey, New York and Montreal. We shared lots of divrei Torah, with debates on the Parshah, and tons of food. Of course, we got to know one another and share experiences from our Chabad houses back home. By the time the day was done, we parted as good friends and look forward to keeping in touch. Some of us even got to ski together on Sunday morning, before parting. Have a wonderful week.

Thanks for the update. We want to see a picture of Rabbi Israel on the slopes.
Be well
